Yvonne Konig was born on the island of Curacao in the Netherland Antilles. At a young age she moved to Venezuela where she completed her education at the Universidad Católica Andres Bello in Caracas. In the early 1980’s, she moved with her family to Miami, Florida where they have resided ever since. After raising her children and watching them graduate college, Yvonne enrolled and earned an Associate Degree in Interior Design from the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale where she found her passion for the visual arts. In the past 14 years, Yvonne has been fine-tuning her talent and technique under the close guidance of her mentor Carlos Agusto Pereira. Filled with realistic detail, Yvonne’s art focuses on the elegance of the human figure and the beauty found within children’s faces.
